Last month the call went out for a song fit for an American Idol. From the thousands of entries, American Idol finalized a shortlist of the top 20 strongest and most suitable songs for American Idol.

The song chosen by the nation will be performed live in front of millions of viewers on this season’s American Idol finale. But that’s only half the story. The winning songwriter will also walk away with a highly-prized publishing deal and their song will be released by this year’s winner of American Idol!
